Jan 2023 Ministry Update

Updated: Apr 17, 2023

Hello friends and family! I am excited to bring another update to you all! I want to thank you for your prayers over our ministry. In prayer I am reminded to intercede for the places you are and the ministry that God is doing in your life. We are thankful to be able to step into a platform such as this and I am reminded that God is cultivating testimonies amongst your lives as well. May your love for God continue to deepen and grow each day, through the Holy Spirit that has been given to those who believe. This past month, Chloe and I went home for a couple weeks to spend time with family. It was such a blessing to be able to see everyone. We started out at my side of the family, unfortunately, getting influenza pretty early on. However, we still got to spend time with my parents and little brother at home, having good conversations and playing lots of games. We got see grandparents and my brother and sister with their two girls. As I have spent more time over the years in mission work, it always seems to get harder to be away from family. I love them deeply. With a blessing of God we got to extend our trip a little longer so we could make it to Chloe's side of the family as well! We were very thankful to be able to make it there! It was great to enjoy their traditions of Christmas. It is a joy to see their passion to get together with one another. We have now returned back to Costa Rica and jumped right back into the swing of things. With the start of the new year it means the start of some new involvements in ministry. Please pray for the start up of our discipleship group and our involvement in the organization working against prostitution. One big blessing is we have had a couple teams come stay on base in our first weeks back. The first was a World Race group, which is the program that Chloe and I met on. It was great to have them here to mutually encourage one another in faith. Chloe and I got to have many conversations with them to push them closer to Christ in their walk of discipleship. They will be going from here to serve in the Dominican Republic and then Africa. After that we had a college swim team, which was great to see how many of them were also believers. We got to hold a worship night with the group. It has been a great ministry to have a location for people to come in, get filled with truth in love, and be sent out amongst the nations. God is doing a work in the team ministry here, and He is using us! I want to finish the blog with a passage that has been on my heart with the groups that have came. Ephesians 1:15-23 "15 For this reason, ever since I heard about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all God’s people, 16 I have not stopped giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers. 17 I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit[f] of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. 18 I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, 19 and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is the same as the mighty strength 20 he exerted when he raised Christ from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms, 21 far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is invoked, not only in the present age but also in the one to come. 22 And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church, 23 which is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way."
